Transmission Replacement
In motor vehicles, the transmission usually refers to the gear box, which uses gears and gear trains to transmit speed and torque from a rotating power source to another device. You can have your car's transmission replaced with a new, rebuilt, remanufactured, repaired or used transmission. For more information contact Saint's Automotive Service Center in Princeton, MN. Our experienced service technicians can help you make the best decision for your vehicle and your wallet.

Transmission Repair and Rebuild
When it comes to automatic transmission repair, there are several options: buying a new one, buying a remanufactured one or having yours rebuilt. Each of the above options has its own share of advantages and disadvantages. Of the three options, rebuilt transmissions are the most economical. A rebuilt transmission involves removing the transmission from the car, disassembling it, replacing worn out parts, reassembling it, and then reinstalling it. To have this done by specialists, call 763-389-9777 to talk to the mechanics of Saint's Automotive Service Center today.

Transmission Flush
Although most manufacturers recommend a transmission flush every 30,000 miles or every two years, some symptoms may indicate that you need a transmission flush sooner. Some of the symptoms that indicate that your car needs a transmission flush sooner are: transmission grinding or strange noises, problems shifting gears, slipping gears, surging of the car, and delay in vehicle movement. Flushing the used fluid from the transmission washes away tiny particles of dirt, clutch material, and metal shavings. For all your transmission flush needs, call 763-389-9777 or visit Saint's Automotive Service Center today - we are transmission experts.

Cylinder Head
A cylinder head is the closed end of a cylinder (located in a car's engine block). It sits above the cylinder block, closing the top of the cylinder and forming the combustion chamber. The cylinder head coordinates airflow in and out of the engine. Since the cylinder head's chief function is to seal the cylinders properly, insufficient compression results in the car being difficult to drive. To have your cylinder head checked and repaired, talk to Saint's Automotive Service Center's cylinder head repair and reconditioning specialists today.

Timing Belt
A timing belt is a part of your car's internal combustion engine. The belt synchronizes the camshaft and the crankshaft rotation so that the engine valves open and close at the correct timings. Also, the belt prevents the piston from striking the valves in an interference engine. A timing Belt is a rubber belt that usually features teeth on the inside surface, while a timing chain is a metal roller chain. Most cars we drive now have timing belts instead of timing chains and gears. Although different manufacturers have their recommended mileage, you need to have your car's timing belt checked regularly. To have it checked by experts, contact Saint's Automotive Service Center today.

Cylinder Block
A cylinder block is the powerhouse for the motor vehicle. The solid cast car part houses the cylinders and their components (gaskets, valves, and seals) inside a lubricated and cooled crankcase. Since it is one of the most important parts of your car, the block is designed to be extremely strong and sturdy. Although strong and sturdy, the block is susceptible to failure resulting in a vehicle that won't start. Cracked blocks, porous blocks, core plug, or freeze plug failure are some of the problems facing cylinder blocks. Call 763-389-9777 to talk to the mechanics of Saint's Automotive Service Center about your cylinder block problems.

Testimonials

  • Fantastic Service for my Saabs. Great staff with expertise and willingness to go the extra mile. I will only use Saints.
    -Steve W.

  • Dave is the best! If you want an HONEST and fair guy that'll give you the real problem, and tell you what needs to be done right away and what can wait a little, this is where you want to be. I don't feel like I have to check anything out with my "motor head" friends because Dave is always honest with his customers.
    -Lynda P.

  • I drive up to Saints before I would go to the dealer with my Honda!
    -Ben B.

  • I just want to say thank you for taking such good care of my car over the past 20 some years. You are probably the most honest and trustworthy auto repair shop in Minnesota. One of my only regrets about moving to Michigan is that you are not moving too.

I wish you much success and happiness in the years ahead.
    -Sandi G.

  • I just wanted to thank you for many years of great service. I've always felt confident with your accurate assessments of any issues with my car. I also appreciate your fair pricing and that you never have tried selling me service or parts I don't need.
    -Shirley C.

  • Once again, SaintsAuto has proven themselves to be the place to take your car to. I have a 1993 Subaru Impreza that I bought new in 1993. I love this car, but it's getting old. This is the second time I've brought my car to Saints for a different problem. It's hard to find the right parts for my car due to age. Both Dave and Jeff stayed with it. To the point that Dave even gave up his Saturday (when they are closed) to work on it. I can't thank Dave and Jeff enough for their efforts and the headaches we experienced for my situation. I would give Saints Auto a 10 star rating if they had a rating system on this site.

  • Saints Auto is a top quality service center. It is not always easy for me to walk into a service shop and feel comfortable, as I don't know much about vehicles. At Saints they put you at ease. They are very friendly and honest. They go above and beyond the call of duty. Recently I had my car serviced, just routine maintenance. Oil change, courtesy inspection. I had a musty smell in my vents, they totally resolved the issue. I feel when I leave there that my car is in top running condition. They are professional yet treat you like a friend. Thank you Dave and Jeff!!
    -Teresa P.

  • Dear Dave & Jeff,

Third time is the charm! Just a little note to say thank you for staying with me and my car to get the issue with the gas sensor resolved.

I truly appreciate your thoroughness and honesty; it's a rare commodity in today's world.

I will refer you to anyone I know and I will definitely be back for any future repairs on my "Binky" that I may need. For my sake, not too soon.

Jeff, you are awesome with customers. You're quite the salesman and you're very knowledgeable. I'll miss our conversations until I come back again. Dave, what can I say. You're a great mechanic! I appreciate the experience I had with both of you.
    -Suzzette

  • Going to Saint's Automotive was the BEST choice we could have made! There are many choices for auto repair in Elk River/Zimmerman/Princeton/Milaca area. We are newer to the area and wanted to find a place closer to our house rather than driving to Wayzata each time we needed a car service or repair. We went to Saint's Automotive for the first time this spring. We needed extensive maintenance performed on my husband's truck that we had let lapse. After taking a through look at the truck, Jeff took the time to go over each and every service that was due and honestly told us what NEEDED to be done ASAP. I told him we were on a tight budget and he worked with us to identify what were the most serious needs for the vehicle and what could wait. They did a fantastic job with the maintenance that was performed! The truck ran like it was brand new and the prices were more than fair.

We then brought my SUV to them to for an oil change. Saint's Automotive was able to identify problems/issues with the vehicle that the dealership missed. Instead of telling us what the repairs would cost and insisting to do have them performed immediately they instructed me to contact the dealership and urge them to perform the repairs as they should be under warranty. Saint's Automotive was right! The dealership performed all repairs found by Saint's and Saint's Automotive saved us $700 because everything was covered under warranty!

I recommend everyone to Saint's Automotive. My parents now drive from Plymouth to Princeton because of their exceptional honesty, detail and fair pricing. Saint's Automotive is better than any dealership I have ever been. They have my highest recommendation! I simply cannot praise this business enough!!
    -Paul and Caitlyn S.

  • I have been coming to Saint's Auto for vehicle service for the last 11 years. Personally I would not bring my vehicle anywhere else if circumstances permitted. Dave has always been a very trustworthy, personable and intelligent mechanic with great values.

It is great to see his business grow with the addition of a very friendly energetic new service advisor (Jeff) , and well trained adverse mechanic(Nathan). I will continue referring business in Saint's direction and would suggest to everyone to bring their vehicle here for service no matter the make or model of vehicle. You're sure to be pleased with the outcome.
    -Alan P.
